Maximum Comfort Pool & Spa

The finish changes how water feels.

A cementitious interior finish is the final surface applied to a prepared pool or spa shell. Its aggregate, texture and base color influence comfort underfoot and the appearance of the water.

Depth, light, surroundings and installation affect the final shade. Start with the MCPS comparison guide, use the marked manufacturer sheets to narrow choices, then review physical samples before making a selection.

Our approach

Choose the surface. Protect the foundation.

01

Diamond Brite

A quartz aggregate finish and the most frequently applied option in the supplied MCPS guide. It balances exposed texture and appearance; Blue Quartz and Onyx are highlighted in that guide.

02

Durazzo

A marble aggregate finish selected for a smoother, polished feel. The supplied sheet marks Arctic White, Gulf Blue and French Gray as the un-crossed color options.

03

River Rok

A natural pebble finish with a more pronounced texture. Compare a physical sample if comfort for sensitive feet or young children is a priority.

04

Preparation & Basecrete

Remodels require a sound substrate: spot removal or full chip-out is chosen after assessment. Basecrete, where specified, provides a compatible waterproofing and bond system before the finish.

05

The first 28 days

Hydration makes a fresh finish especially sensitive to water balance, staining and scale. Follow MCPS and the finish manufacturer's start-up instructions, with regular brushing and monitored chemistry.

06

Color selections

The manufacturer water-color reference contains options beyond MCPS's marked recommendations. Cross-check it against the relevant finish sheet; printed and screen colors are only references.
